Mai Couture Review + A Giveway!!

Hello my beautifuls!!!
Today I have a review on these amazing blush papiers and also my very first YouTube Giveaway. I am inviting you to join as well!

I was first introduced to this brand through the IPSY bag (if you have no idea what I am talking about, click HERE to be redirected to my review on them).
At first when I saw these in my IPSY bag, I put them to the side to see what else was inside. After going through everything, I went back to these and was amazed at the product!

To those of you who are subscribed, have you seen this kind of product before? I never have. I thought this was so genius. A make-up product that has so many user friendly benefits.

Radiant and fabulous? That’s you.

$17.50 for 50 sheets

Left to right: Bronzing papiers, highlighting papiers and the Sunset blvd papiers.

The packaging on these Blush papiers are something else. Foiled gold cardboard packaging makes these uber high end looking. Not only are these lightweight and unbreakable, but it is a great alternative to plastic making it ideal for our environment. I liked most that they are lightweight. I detest a heavy make-up bag and am constantly cleaning it out weekly so that I don't have extra things in it that I don't need. I carry all my daughters items (diapers, sippy cup snacks, extra clothes, toys etc) so I REALLY do not need any extra weight.

The products itself is remarkable. Who would've thought to powder papier sheets, to use for make-up? So innovative!

I really like the fact that you don't need a brush to apply these. Trust me, I tried. I put the paper on my cheek and swirl my brush to the back of the paper and nothing transferred. Its best to use your fingers. If you follow me on Twitter, you saw >>>>>>>
That many brushes is a big no-no in my book.

Along with the no-brush factor, you can count on this being sanitary. All you need to do is tear a papier out, use it and throw it away. If you are looking to share, do the same thing. No need to disinfect with alcohol or worry about bacteria from others on your make-up.

The only iffy part in the whole brush routine, is that when you use a brush, you swipe it on with however much product you want until you get the color desired. Because this is a papier applicator, you need to rub and then look how much has been applied. Rub again to distribute more product, Look to see if its the right amount, if its not, repeat this process until you get the color you are looking for. It's a hassle because brushes make it easier, because you don't need to pull back to see how much product has been transferred. I don't know if I am explaining it right, but using these sheets takes more effort in applying blush.

I wore this blush for a good 3 hours before I saw fading. I can't contribute the fading 100% to the product itself. I touch my face way to much, so that might be a factor. I really like how these looked on my skin. I thought it would be a little light for my skin tone (NC30) but amazingly it showed up and gave me a nice tanned flush look. As you can see, it is a satin finish. No giant glitter specks or frosty cheeks here.

I am wearing both the blush and highlighter in the below photo.

Tear out a piece from the booklet. Tear that piece in half. Take that half and two fingers and place on your cheek. Start at the apple of your cheek and rub lightly upwards towards your ear. I layer the product instead of trying to get it all on in one shot.  I usually use two layers to make sure I get a nice even application.

Left to right: Bronzer papiers, highlighting papiers, & Sunset blvd blush papiers

Mess free
No need for brushes
If you love brushes, this might be "enough" for you
Product might be ruined upon getting wet

Overall, this is definitely worth trying. Especially if you are butterfingers and prone to dropping things. The ease of these papiers are really a no brainer.
